MAATS 2004 Award

Attention All Marine Engine Installers!

I.Q.M. is introducing to our customers a new and exciting patented product line, made in the USA , which will help save you time and money on your next engine install.

The “8-Way ANCHOR ADJUSTABLE ENGINE MOUNTS - BRACKETS” allow you to precisely and securely mount the engine on a solid foundation, while avoiding the aggravations of inconsistent factory stringers and other challenges you face when trying to set an engine on either four or six mounting points. See pictures below.

I.Q.M is offering several sizes of these adjustable engine brackets, which have been specifically engineered to fit today’s varied production mounts. The brackets are CNC machined, using 6061 Aluminum. Our most popular-size bracket is the 6" x 4". Other size mounts available include 4" x 4" x 9.5" on 4" or 5" centers and 6" x 6" x 9.5", standard 1/2" thick all with slots for vibration isolators with 5" footprints.

An additional size is 6" x 6" x 12", 1/2" or 5/8" thick, with 6 5/8" and 7 1/8" centers for vibration isolators on large engines, sailboat brackets with 6.85" footprint. Custom sizes and thickness available by request. The D Series are three piece assemblies utilizing two L angles for double the strength for large horsepower engines using 1/2" 6061 aluminum.

The patented bolt plate keeps the bolt head from turning under the vibration isolator. (No need to allow space for wrench.)

Gussets can be added to the ends of the L-bracket when extra support is needed.

The L-bracket can be ordered with the slotted holes on the vertical surface and no holes holes for the vibration isolator for a custom application.

Washers must be used on all slotted holes! On top of the mount there is a 1/2" 13 threaded bolt hole at each end to help in adjusting the correct shaft angle before drilling holes. On the side of the mount, two 1/2" 13 threaded holes for bolts to adjust the mount in perpendicular position. Spacers of 1/2", 3/8" or 1/4" if additional height is needed for placing engines.

I.Q.M. Wins the MAATS 2004 NMMA Innovation Award

“MAATS is the only tradeshow dedicated to marine aftermarket accessories and has become the annual event for introducing new products,” says NMMA Trade Show director Jennifer Thompson. “All the features that make the show a success are returning in 2004, with some additions and improvements to help attendees and exhibitors get the most out of their time in Las Vegas.”

New Product Previews (formerly New Product Snapshots) return, giving accessory suppliers the opportunity to present their new products to a group of more than 120 hosted buyers and media. Each product presented is automatically considered in the NMMA Innovation Awards program, the recreational boating industry’s highest honor for product excellence. And, all new products entered into the NMMA Innovation Awards will be featured on the event web site, displayed on-site as part of a new product showcase and listed in the official event directory as part of a special new product section.

" One of the industry's most prestigious honors, the NMMA Innovation Awards, presented at MAATS, recognize exceptional distinction and excellence in new products. Judged by a panel of experts from BWI, the NMMA Innovation Awards acknowledge the importance of technological advancement and encourage manufacturers to continue pursuing new product developments that benefit the boating consumer."
